Omerin
Electrical cables used in industrial environments are often exposed to high temperatures, mechanical stress, and harsh operating conditions. Reliable and durable cable systems are therefore essential for maintaining safety and operational efficiency.
Founded in 1959 by Michel Omerin in France, OMERIN began its operations by manufacturing specialized high-temperature resistant cables for industrial ovens and heavy manufacturing plants. Growing through strategic investments in production infrastructure and quality management systems over the decades, the company expanded its market share with key acquisitions such as PROFIPLAST and SILISOL. Today, it stands as a global manufacturer in flexible industrial insulation and technical cables, operating in over 120 countries with 15 production facilities and 1,700 employees.
R&D and Engineering Capacity
The company provides tested solutions in electromagnetic compatibility, polymer science, and metallurgy tailored to specific project architectures. The cables developed are designed to perform highly under extreme thermal loads and physical stress factors.
Global Certification and Industrial Compliance
Products hold the strictest sectoral certifications, such as aerospace (EN 9100), railway (IRIS), and marine (Bureau Veritas, Lloyd's Register). They are also fully compliant with international regulations like UL, CSA, and VDE, ensuring smooth operational integration into projects.
High-Quality Raw Materials and Composite Architecture
Instead of cost-driven standard materials, the production processes utilize the industry's most durable components, including fluoropolymers (PTFE, FEP), silicone elastomers, fiberglass, polyimide, and mica. Processed with advanced extrusion and braiding techniques, these materials reduce maintenance costs and extend facility lifecycles.
Environmental Sustainability and Corporate Governance (ESG)
OMERIN actively reduces its carbon footprint through the use of solar energy, highly energy-efficient fully electric machinery, and waste heat recovery systems in its production facilities. With environmental policies optimizing water and energy consumption, it meets sustainable supply chain criteria.
OMERIN’s core focus is on specialized electrical cables and braided sleevings engineered to withstand extreme environmental conditions where standard equipment fails. Maintaining operational integrity across a thermal spectrum ranging from cryogenic temperatures of -190°C up to ultra-high peak temperatures of +1400°C, these products are designed for the steel industry, aerospace, electromechanical systems, and high-risk (ATEX) zones.
SILICABLE® Series: Developed for heavy industry, steel rolling mills, and industrial drying ovens. With silicone elastomer and composite insulations, they ensure stable data and power transmission in harsh environments up to 400°C - 450°C.
