SILICABLE®NVAS is a unipolar wire with composite insulation, designed to withstand high temperatures. At its center, it features a stranded or flexible nickel core of type 200. The insulation structure consists of impregnated fibreglass lappings and a silicone coated mineral fibre braid. The cable can operate continuously at temperatures between -60°C and +450°C.
The cable has a rated voltage of 300/500 V and withstands a test voltage of 2000 V. It exhibits excellent resistance to thermal shocks and to the oxidization of the core. The standard colour is grey, but other colours including yellow/green are available on request.
It is widely used in heavy industry environments with extreme temperatures, such as foundries, steelworks, and glassworks. It is preferred for the cabling for heating resistors, cartridges, bands, and plates. It is also safely used in the cabling for domestic electrical heating appliances, including kitchens and professional ovens. Furthermore, it is ideal for use in machines for thermoplastics or rubber, as well as industrial furnaces and air ovens.
