SILIGAINE® 31-1 is a high temperature treated, not impregnated fibreglass braided protective sleeving. Its continuous operating temperature ranges from -60°C to +450°C. The standard product colour is silvery grey (natural).
It features good resistance to common chemical environments. It frays slightly when cut. It is non-combustible and meets the requirements of test VW-1 as per standard UL 1441.
Applications include high temperature heating elements such as bands and cartridges. It is also suitable for domestic electrical heating appliances and cooking appliances. It is used in all electrothermal machines, including ovens and air ovens. Furthermore, it is utilized for the sheathing of cable harnesses for cables subject to high temperature.
