SILIGAINE® GTE 1 is a high-temperature fibreglass protective sleeving, treated and coated with clear silicone varnish. Its continuous operating temperature ranges from -60°C to +250°C, and it withstands peak temperatures up to +350°C for a few minutes. It features a dry dielectric strength of >1.5 kV.
It offers good resistance to thermal shock and exhibits very good ageing in hot environments. Furthermore, it provides good resistance to atmospheric agents such as UV, ozone, and oxygen, as well as to common chemical agents. The standard product colour is mottled brown.
Primary applications include the cabling of heating elements and the sheathing of cable harnesses subject to high temperatures and mechanical constraints. It is suitable for use in industrial electrothermal machines, such as ovens and air ovens.
