Pressed Ceramic Core
Technical ceramic components manufactured using the dry pressing method to insulate resistance wires and ensure secure connections at terminal points in industrial autoclaves and high-temperature furnaces. They feature a specialized design combining the structural advantages of two different materials to withstand various stress factors within the system. Manufacturing Method: Dry Pressing Head Stone Material: Steatite (C221) Body Material: Cordierite (C520)
Category:
Insulation CeramicsSpecially designed autoclave stones manufactured using the dry pressing method are used for the structural safety of resistance lines in industrial furnaces, composite curing systems, and autoclave devices. This production technique allows for the manufacturing of parts with complex geometries with tight tolerances and dimensional consistency.
This specific product features a two-part material structure to simultaneously respond to different mechanical and thermal needs within the autoclave system:
Head Stone (Steatite C221): C221 grade steatite ceramic, which has high mechanical and dielectric strength, is used at the terminal or head section where assembly and electrical connections are made. With its 0.0% open porosity structure, it prevents electrical leaks and provides structural stability against physical impacts at connection points.
Body (Cordierite C520): C520 grade cordierite ceramic, known for its high thermal shock resistance, is preferred in the body section where heating wires make direct contact and thermal cycles are intense. Its 20% porous structure and operating temperature tolerance up to 1240°C prevent the material from cracking during sudden heating and cooling phases.
Applications and Functions:
-
Insulation of resistance terminal connections in autoclave furnaces.
-
Special heater mounting blocks requiring tight tolerances and complex geometries.
-
Industrial heaters where electrical and thermal stress must be managed simultaneously.
-
Structural support in composite curing and sterilization devices.
