Heat Gun Ceramics
Three-piece ceramic heater bodies that form the heart of air-blowing industrial devices such as heat guns. Ensuring the generation of hot air by heating the airflow coming from a fan, this set is manufactured from two different technical ceramics to respond to different thermal and mechanical needs. Head Stone Material: Rauschert Steatite (C221) Body and Base Stone Material: Rauschert Cordierite (C520) Primary Applications: Heat guns, plastic welding machines
Category:
Insulation CeramicsAir blowing heaters form the heart of industrial devices such as heat guns, plastic, and tarpaulin welding machines. In these systems, which allow the airflow from a fan to be converted into heat by passing over resistance wires, the quality of the carrier ceramic body directly determines the lifespan of the device. Manufactured with Rauschert quality, this three-piece set is designed from two different ceramics, Steatite and Cordierite, to withstand the specific stress factors at different points in the system.
Components and Technical Functions:
Head Stone (Steatite C221): Located at the tip of the heater, the head stone requires high mechanical and dielectric strength. Fired between 1280-1350°C to reach full density (0.0% open porosity) during the production process, C221 Special Steatite ceramic prevents electrical leaks and provides structural stability against external impacts.
Body and Base Stones (Cordierite C520): The body section where heating wires, mostly made of alloys like nickel-chrome (nichrome) or kanthal, are wound, and the base stone supporting this body are subjected to continuous and sudden temperature changes. Therefore, these parts are manufactured from Pyrolit Cordierite C520 material, which has high thermal shock resistance. With its 20% porous structure and operating temperature capacity up to 1240°C, it prevents the ceramic from cracking during sudden heating and cooling cycles.
Prominent Application Areas:
-
Industrial heat guns and ventilation systems.
-
Flooring, tarpaulin, and plastic welding machines.
-
Chemical substance heaters and various production lines where heat needs to be transmitted through the air.
