Resistohm 30
Resistohm 30 is a high-quality resistance wire that provides a cost advantage due to its iron content and can be used up to 1000°C. It shares similar application fields with Resistohm 40, offering an economical solution for domestic heaters and convectors.
Category:
Resistance Wires| Alloy | 30% Nickel - 20% Chromium - Bal. Iron |
| Max. Operating Temperature | 1000°C |
| Resistivity (at 20°C) | 1.04 Ω.mm²/m |
| Form | Round Wire |
Manufactured by Aperam, Resistohm 30 is a resistance wire containing 30% nickel, 20% chromium, and silicon (Si) additions, with the balance of the alloy consisting of iron (Fe). This specific structure makes it a cost-effective alternative for domestic heating applications without compromising quality, presenting the same application fields as Resistohm 40.
This wire, which has a maximum operating temperature of 1000°C, features a resistivity of 1.04 Ω.mm²/m. Due to its slightly lower resistivity, it imposes a requirement for higher ventilation in the systems it is applied to, compared to Resistohm 40. It is safely and frequently preferred in convectors, heating accumulators, and various domestic heating appliances where the operating temperature does not reach extreme levels.
