| Max. Operating Temperature | 1000°C |
| Resistivity (at 20°C) | 0.95 Ω.mm²/m |
| Form | Round/Ribbon Wire |
Manufactured by Aperam, Resistohm 20 is a resistance wire containing 20% nickel, 25% chromium, and silicon (Si) additions, with the balance of the alloy consisting of iron (Fe). This specific chemical composition places the product exactly at the limit between heat-resistant alloys and stainless steels.
This wire, which has a maximum operating temperature of 1000°C, features a lower resistivity of 0.95 Ω.mm²/m compared to other products in the series. It offers very specific advantages in terms of its application field; it provides highly successful results particularly in the production of heating elements operating at low temperatures. Furthermore, thanks to its mechanical structure and conductivity, it is a versatile and economical material frequently preferred for the cold connections of industrial furnaces.
